About Grace Cotterell-Moore

Grace Cotterell-Moore is a talented artist, author, and illustrator with a special passion for children's book caricature illustration. She enjoys bringing her cute characters to life, both digitally on a graphics tablet and with traditional media.

Her love for drawing inspired her to study graphic design for three years, where she earned a Triple Distinction Star for her final major project-her very own book. Her book, Rose and Her Fairy Shoes, began with a favourite character she created. From there, Grace's imagination blossomed, leading her to design Rose's forest friends and other magical creatures.

This natural creative flow motivated her to write and illustrate the entire book herself. Known professionally as The Autist, Grace chose this illustrator name as a clever blend of "Autism" and "Artist" proudly embracing her identity as an Autistic woman.

Alongside her illustration work, Grace runs a business designing and decorating wooden crafts, taking commissions and sharing her creations at markets.

Grace feels proud of her artistic growth and personal development so far, and she looks forward to achieving even more dreams in the future.
